(02) — A note from the studio

Fewer things, made better — identities and websites built to be kept, not refreshed.

Lylix is a studio of four in Lisbon. Since 2012 we have designed brands, websites and printed things for independent businesses, cultural institutions and founders who care about the details.

Lylix is a studio of four in Lisbon. Since 2012 we have designed brands, websites and printed things for independent businesses, cultural institutions and founders who care about the details.

We take on around eight projects a year and lead each one ourselves. No account managers, no hand-offs — just the people you meet on the first call, all the way to launch.

(05) — How we work

From first sentence to final file.

Two designers reviewing printed artwork together at the studio table
01ListenTwo hours, one table, no slides. We ask about your best customer, your worst day and what everyone else gets wrong.
Close-up of a designer's hand sketching first ideas on white paper
02Write the sentenceBefore any sketch, we agree on one sentence the whole identity has to earn. It becomes the brief for every decision.
Hands arranging printed photographs and colour proofs on a dark table
03Make, then chooseWe make many routes quickly, then pin them to the wall and keep only what survives a second look.
Fan deck of paper colour swatches arranged as a spectrum
04Tune the colourColour is reviewed in daylight, on paper and on screen, in light and dark — until it holds up everywhere.
Printed sketch sheets and pencils scattered across a warm wooden surface
05Print it, ship itFinal files, a concise guideline and a living Framer site you can edit yourself. Then we stay close for the first launch.

Seven objects that explain the studio better than an About page: a train ticket to a kick-off, the palette we keep returning to, and the note stuck to every monitor. Move them around — nothing breaks.
